Paintball Clubs Venues:
It should be quite easy to find a well managed good quality paintball venue nearby. Remember that paintball guns do fire paint balls so it is very important to only book with a reputable, well run, insured paintball venue.
A quick web search in your country should reveal a site like the UK one http://www.ukpaintball.co.uk/ is one example and they have a search box where you can enter your postcode to find a local nearest paintball venue. This is their link: UK Paintball Venue
For example, i put in a Harpenden postcode and it quickly came up with a list of paintball parks nearby; Watford, London, Bishops Stortford, Cambridge and so on.
The paintball venues do not seem expensive and you will be provided with all equipment you need such as the paintball markers, safety equipment, paintballs, gas refills and so on.
Once you have found a quality venue you may have questions to ask such as how many paintballs will i need during a game, how long does the paintball game last and what should i wear to play paintball?
Typically at most paintball venues you will have paintballs given to you included in the overall cost (for example 500) and they will give you enough to last the game.
You would wear old clothes and layer them so you can take a layer off if you get too hot or put another on if it is a cold day. And wear sturdy footwear with good support such as a pair of ankle boots (flat!) not with heels! You will often be provided with a suitable camouflage coverall but scrambling across muddy woodland and being hit with paint will require old clothing underneath.
Once you have found your nearest best paintball venue you may choose from a variety of paintball games or scenarios. You may want to play paintball for the full day or just half. If you know whether you just want a simple fun game, or a game for children or whether you are a more experienced player looking for a challenge then you will be able to choose from the following types which might include but are not limited to:
Capture the flag where each team has their own flag to defend, but must capture the opposition teams flag to win
Protect the president, which means one member of the team must be safely escorted from Point A to Point B. The opposition team must hit the president to win
Simple deathmatch, each team or individual must eliminate the other, whoever is left standing wins
